Role & responsibilities:

 

1. Project Planning and Strategy:

  • Lead the project from the pre-construction phase, including feasibility studies, master planning, and design coordination in coordination with Chief of Projects.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets (CTC - Cost to Completion), resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Provide strategic inputs on project specifications, design, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FSI, zoning regulations, local by-laws).
  • Ensure all projects align with the company's business plan and financial objectives.

2. Project Execution and Site Management:

  • Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, including civil, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works.
  • Lead and mentor the project team, including project managers, engineers, and site supervisors.
  • Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and implement corrective actions to address delays or issues.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure adherence to approved drawings, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Drive the implementation of new technology and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.

3. Budget and Financial Management:

  • Oversee all financial aspects, including budget preparation, billing, vendor payments, and cost monitoring.
  • Identify and implement value engineering initiatives to optimize costs without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with the finance and contracts teams to manage project expenditures and ensure timely and accurate reporting.

4. Stakeholder and Vendor Management:

  • Act as the main point of contact for external stakeholders, including consultants (architects, structural engineers, etc.), contractors, and government authorities.
  • Lead the selection and negotiation process for contractors and vendors, ensuring favorable terms and service quality.
  • Manage relationships with all project partners to ensure seamless coordination and issue resolution.
  • Liaise with liaison team to secure necessary permits, clearances, and approvals.

5. Quality, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Establish and maintain rigorous quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain a strong health, safety, and environment (HSE) culture on all project sites.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee the final handover process, including as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals.

Preferred candidate profile : A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is essential. A Master's degree in Construction Management or a related field.

 

  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of the entire project lifecycle, from land acquisition to final handover.
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
    • In-depth understanding of construction methods, quality standards, and safety regulations.
    • Experience with contract administration, billing, and procurement.

Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities
